Volunteers Wanted for Mapping Study
Academic researchers in Aberdeen are seeking volunteers to help them with a study comparing the effectiveness of 3D mapping software in comparison with conventional 2D maps. The study will examine in detail how technology can aid navigation in difficult environments. More details can be found on BBC Online.
The academics are looking for experienced mountaineers, mountain rescue teams and weekend walkers to help them with their research. I'm afraid the BBC story doesn't give any direct links to the researchers but it does provide details of the people conducting the research and links the their institutions.

I emailed the David Pearson at the University last week, however I've not had a reply yet. I wonder if it really is just for those in "the Aberdeen area" :(
